Two Poems

A simple black outline of a rectangle with two small black dots inside.

THOREAU

WARNING: BAITED AREA • POISON
frothing fit
or sexy skullfuck
u promised no more breathing
bloat of old & failing poet
80s hair band on the ground writhing
mower run full-speed
over woodland creature
no care like lawncare
my father tells me at the age
i stop collecting baseball cards
or surviving florida’s humidity
the call from inside the house
pull urself together
azns forgoing dishwasher & crisper drawer
panang may be a curry
but penang is a state in malaysia
along the malacca strait
the moment u realize u love me
stinger sticking out of chest
no reflection in the water
sun-warmed boobies
slipping from bikini
big & tall in bible study
another kind of virginity
the nine familial exterminations
the night i hold charlie’s angular face
he’s been practicing his stand-up
music helps focus his intensity
hunny nobody finds dickinson funny
consider: is it mean or is it NATURE
the transliteration of rashōmon being 罗生门
what abt pliny the elder
he’s into le snoop
big into brightline rules
how girlfriends should behave
we slurp noodles
each one teach one buttcrack
would u believe me if i told u
this site is like grindr
cuz ppl scream i hate it here
but are also ALL-IN babes
that’s called ~social change~
binge savant of borrowed text
we consider every line
touching his soul
we’ve never held ppl
to impossible standards

沉默是金 SILENCE IS GOLDEN

may u live in interesting times
for me, first lines are everything
i wanna be pulled immediately into ur world
talc under very fine nads
canal street my silk road
canards kissing
it’s done, overplayed
two halves of a pastrami sandwich
my immediate family literally
on 3 diff continents rn
how’s my diaspora
they are from new jersey
sissy doug w/ the house in virginia
mulder i’m standing my ground
i love ur technique
that time i was seeing someone
& they directed him to the service entrance
the fictional apartment
where natalie portman’s
black swan character was born
roomful of ppl saying totes
& eggggggggggggggs actly to one another
the song beginning ‘white hoe . . .’
i just spent $16 on mozz sticks, fool
don’t be dismayed
i’ll write u a long pome ***** [queen]
i laid a trap
[to azn child]:  don’t u have piano lessons or . . .
[eyes narrow]: badminton or junior ROTC ???
i will walk to china
(‘i was just tryna score’)
tell me the canons of statutory interpretation
son, the thing abt steak is
if u’ve had a $30 steak
u’ll want a $60 steak
& then a $120 steak
& so on
like breaking out of a child’s clothes
the garb our upbringing has knitted
praiseworthy boi
praiseworthy jacket
a golden retriever named monkey
the blue hands on my cream cheese sushi
diff between u & hangers-on
pinky & the brain
kate moss & _____ kate moss (tonite)
it rains all afternoon
in mandarin-speaking locales
spongebob is 海绵宝宝
which is literally
sponge baby
u say that sounds vaguely sexual
i say u look vaguely sexual
i prefer that name
the toucan w/ the tidy mind
who handles distribution
at the paris review
the 6-year-old who called u a cuck
that sniffly carrot top was genocide
we have calculated the avg spend per customer
ur person lavished in gifts
we love to be inexact
holy shit
ur beautiful to look at
in that wifebeater
i am no better than u / i am no better than u
stepping from one decline message to another
i’ve learned to be nice to dogs
b/c there isn’t anything wrong w/ me
came right up on a goose
nothing more exhausting
than capitalism
unfolding like spring
barbara’s gaudy necklace
the housecat conducting the séance
no one can contradict this view
many loveless nights
we called them when they weren’t around
they’re very expensive
& ppl live there
it could be anywhere
writing u from afar
above & beyond this aimlessness
this bitter earth
living & bleeding
an idea whose time has come
